New Cycling route connects Serbia and Romania
During Blue Week festival, a new cycling route that connects Kladovo in Serbia and Drobeta-Turnu Severin in Romania is going to be officially launched.
Though the official name of the route is “Touristic cycling route in Drobeta-Turnu Severin and Kladovo region” it may be expected that cyclists will just call it “Blue Week route”.
The route purpose is to visit main touristic attractions in the proximity of Drobeta Turnu Severin and Kladovo in just one day by riding the bicycle.
Route is fully paved and suitable for any kind of bicycle. Here’s a brief overview:
Total length is 115 km, total climb / 115 km is 590 m.
Highest altitude points: Manastirica (SRB) – 200 m, Schitu Topolniței Monastery (RO) – 180 m
Lowest altitude points: Kladovo Beach (SRB) – 40 m, Drobeta Turnu Severin (RO) – 60 m
